We are an Australian not-for-profit organisation. Our main goal is to help young Australians build a career in the building and construction industry, starting with an apprenticeship in bricklaying. We do this by providing a number of support services and resources for both apprentices and employers, as well as educating students, teachers, career advisors and parents about the different career path options and opportunities that exist with a qualification in bricklaying.
We run a number of different programs and support services to assist us in reaching this goal: Work Ready Programs:
our Work Ready Programs provide students and potential apprentices with an opportunity to ‘try before you buy’ by doing a 4 or 5 day bricklaying trial to see if this career path is for them. Apprentice-Employer Matchmaking:
We help pair apprentices with employers who are looking to take on an apprentice. We also help you find an RTO or TAFE to complete your certification. Apprentice Support:
We offer existing apprentices a range of different support and advice services to assist them throughout the duration of their apprenticeship. Employer Support:
We provide information and resources to employers of apprentices so that they understand their legal obligations and rights as an employer. Industry News and Events:
Our website, blog and email newsletters provide the Australian bricklaying industry with important information, news and events. Jobs Board:
We launched our very own Jobs Board portal in May 2018, for the bricklaying industry where we support the Australian businesses by listing job vacancies for qualified and apprentice bricklayers.
